The kit represents PCE-904, the ship Richard's brother-in-law served on off Midway Island in 1947.  To convert the ship to the 1947 configuration, Richard had to modify the Bridge structure, and add the weather balloon support structure on the starboard side.  The finished kit was given to his brother as a surprise gift...



Kit #4-096  Admirable class minesweeper

This kit was built to represent the minesweeper USS Hazard AM-240, which is presently on public display in Freedom Park in Omaha, NE.  The only modifications made were to replace the kit's shafts and masts with brass tubing.
